what interact is all about
JVHS Interact is a service and social club sponsored by our local Rotary organization, Rotary District 5890. The goal of Interact is to encourage and foster international service with the advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world of fellowship of youth united in the ideal of service. Through Interact, members can connect with Sponsors, Leaders, Indigents, and Advisers from all over the world while assisting and attending to the community they live in. Furthermore, through Interact, students can develop a range of leadership skills as well as learn the value of teamwork. Developing skills and the incentive to encourage the growth of the youth aiding destitute individuals, contribute to a positive future within and outside our community. Leading to members inspiring to become the best volunteers they can be! Join us as we apply our motto, Service Above Self, into the lives of our society all while having an enjoyable time at volunteer events.
Everyone is welcomed to attend :) !
In the course of making projects and volunteer events, our Board of Directors have
dedicated themselves into following a guideline that ensures the positive action towards our community .
Which is the following:
THE FOUR WAY TEST
1. Is it the TRUTH?
2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
This guarantees that all events promote peace and benefit all in our journey of service.

DISTRICT CONFERENCE!
District conference is an annual event in March that all Interact members from around the district attend. Members can meet new friends, learn about the Rotary Student Exchange Program, gain knowledge of what Rotary International is currently doing around the world, play lots of fun games, eat free food, get a free t-shirt, and much, much more!
Rotary Exchange Program
Another significant benefit of joining our Club is our Rotary Exchange Program, sponsored by Rotary International. This program offers students the opportunity to interact with foreign residents, immerse themselves in diverse cultures, and develop lifelong friendships abroad. Candidates must range from ages 15 to 19 and be able to provide for the needs of each program. The long-term exchange program lasts a full academic year and allows the student to attend local schools and stay with various host families. The short-term exchange program can last from a few days to about 3 months. It occurs in seasons in which school is not in session and does not affect one's academic standing.
